Crash near Florence Township sends woman to hospital

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.—A crash involving a semi-truck sent one woman to the hospital on Monday morning, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Centreville-Constantine Road and Roys Road around 7:44 a.m. on Monday for a personal injury crash.

During their investigation, deputies learned that a Chevrolet Impala, driven by Heather Teadt of Centreville, did not stop at a stop sign, the sheriff’s office said.

The Impala was then struck by a semi-truck that was driving southbound.

Teadt was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is unknown.

Police do not believe that alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.

Anyone with information regarding the crash should contact Deputy Hernandez at (269) 467-9045 ext. 334.
