
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports two vehicles were involved in a crash on Wednesday on S.R. 120 east of C.R. 17.
A Ford Fusion was traveling east on S.R. 120 before it drove left of center, crashing head-on into a Chevrolet Silverado traveling west.
The Fusion was totaled and the airbag deployed. The Fusion's driver, a 24-year-old man, was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for a head injury and other internal injuries.
The Silverado received heavy front-end damage, and both the 71-year-old driver and his 69-year-old passenger were taken to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of neck, back, and body pain.
The crash is still under investigation.
