Crews battle house fire in South Bend

A family returned home Wednesday morning to find their house in flames.

It happened just before 8:00 a.m. in the 800 block of East Milton Avenue.

Officials at the scene say no one was injured during the fire, but a family dog wasn't able to make it out.

The fire was contained to the kitchen.

Officials say the cause of the fire was accidental.
