The heatwave is over, the showers and storms are not
ELKHART-- Elkhart Fire Department is investigating the cause of a house fire Friday morning on the 400 block of Jefferson Street,
The fire started just before 7:30 a.m. causing significant damage to the back of the house.
No one was hurt in the flames.
The house was under construction. Elkhart Fire says there was no one living in the home at the time of the fire, they are still working to learn who owns the home.
