SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Bethel University is partnering with IUSB and the South Bend Cubs to play an exhibition game to raise money for a young girl with cancer.
50% of ticket sales will go to support Belle Wuich, 14, diagnosed with Nueroblastoma on April 20.
"She is the most joyful girl for a 14-year-old girl to go through this," said Kiel Boynton, Bethel University baseball head coach. "She's excited about the community rallying around her, though they may have never met her."
Bethel University sport management students will also get the opportunity to run the South Bend Cubs facility and game for hands-on experience.
"It's going to be like a South Bend Cubs baseball game so it's a great opportunity for the family to just have some fun."
The game takes place October 3 at 6:30pm. Gates will open at 5:30pm. Tickets are $5, $10 for a ticket and food.
