Cruise ship slowly making its way to land

GULF OF MEXICAO. -- The Carnival Cruise Ship that has been stranded out in the Gulf of Mexico is taking longer than expected to get back to land.

The ship is supposed to make landfall Thursday night in Alabama.

Passengers on board have reported horrible conditions including water and food shortages.

For passenger Kimberly Ware, she is ready to see land again.

"The crew has been wonderful but we are ready to get off this boat and I can't wait to see my family again, I just can't wait," said Ware.

Once passengers hit land they will be facing long bus rides to chartered planes which will take them to their final destinations.

They will each get $500 along with reimbursement.
