Cubs look forward to fan support for new season

There's lots of optimism and excitement going into the Cubs second season. The team didn't start the season great last year. But the way they finished has given fans hope.

Fan support really hasn't been a problem. Nearly 350,000 fans packed the stands last year. It was truly a record breaking time for Four Winds Field.

That fan support doesn't go unnoticed. In fact, the Cubs manager Jimmy Gonzalez credits fan attendance with team morale.

"We didn't know what to expect last year coming in," said manager Jimmy Gonzalez. "And seeing just the outpour of support that they have. And that's something we are grateful for because not all city's have the fan support we do here in South Bend."

The Cubs will need you against the West Michigan White Caps tonight. Dress warm, get your best Cubs hoodie out and prepare for a great game. It all starts at 7:05pm.
