Customer shoots suspect during attempted robbery at gas station

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. - A customer shot a man who police say was trying to rob a gas station in Cassopolis Thursday night.

Officers were called to the gas station just before 10 p.m. 

When they arrived, they say they discovered the alleged suspect had been shot several times and another man, the customer, was still holding him at gunpoint.

As of Friday afternoon, the suspect is in stable condition. 

The customer who shot the suspect has a valid Michigan concealed pistol license.

A woman found in the suspect vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and an active warrant for the same charge.
