CW25 getting new antenna, slight service disruption announced
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Weigel Broadcasting announced on Sunday that the company is upgrading one of it's antennas in order to bring better service to local customers.
The broadcast company owns local television stations CW25, My Michiana TV, and ABC57, and says that installation of a new CW25 antenna is beginning Sunday and will take several days this week.
Out of an abundance of caution, with the safety of work crews being the number one priority, power will need to be reduced or completely turned off to the over-the-air signal at different times across all stations.
The work is expected to take four to five days this week, as long as the weather stays safe enough for crews to work high on the tower.
Crews say outages are expected to start Monday and will only impact the over-the-air signal that some homes receive through digital antennas.
If you have cable or satellite service, your signal will not be interrupted.
