Davion Turner found not guilty in death of Nathaniel Lee

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- One of the men charged in the murder of Nathaniel Lee in August 2017 was found not guilty by a jury, according to Berrien County Prosecutor Mike Sepic.

Davion Turner, of Conyers, Georgia, was charged with murder and felony firearm charges in the shooting death of Lee. He was found not guilty on both charges.

Lee was shot at the River Terrace housing complex on August 15, 2017.

Investigators believed Lee's death was the result of a robbery attempt by Turner, and three other men.

When asked about the outcome of the case, Sepic released this statement, ” While we respect the decision of the jury and the jury process, we disagree with their conclusion."
