ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating a dead body discovered in Elkhart Monday morning after calls of a man sleeping outside.

The body discovered in 2800 block of Toledo Road after the Elkhart Police Department responded to a call of a sleeping man next to an apartment building.

When officers arrived, they pronounced the man dead. His identity is being withheld pending family notification, and the investigation is ongoing.
