Deadly airplane crash in Niles

NILES, Mich. -- Michigan state police released the victim's name from the deadly ultra-light aircraft crash near Niles.
Police said 50-year-old Christopher McKenna of Elkhart died when he crashed his one-seater near the airport.
The crash happened around 4:30 on Saturday afternoon in a wooded area south of Clark Street in Niles township.
The cause of the crash is unknown and the FAA is investigating.
