PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- A death investigation is underway after a man collapsed and was found unresponsive at Love's Travel Stop in Plymouth.
Plymouth Fire and Police were called to the truck stop just before 6 a.m. on Monday after 28-year-old Jake Partello of Cannon Falls, MN. was found unresponsive in the hallway. Officials say Partello was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital.
According to the Marshall County Coroner's Office, a preliminary investigation shows that when Partello was leaving the restroom at the truck stop, he collapsed in the hallway.
Officials said that camera footage from within Love's Travel Stop showed that Partello was alone in the restroom. After Partello was discovered unresponsive, staff called 911 for assistance.
The Marshall County Coroner said that an autopsy was conducted on Tuesday and toxicology testing is pending to assist in determining Partello's cause of death.
