Decision on Detroit bankruptcy expected soon

DETROIT — The city of Detroit will learn next week if it is eligible to get rid of its bankruptcy.

A bankruptcy judge said Monday that he will make a decision by Dec. 3.

Thousands of city workers could lose some of their pension plans or health benefits if the judge wipes away the city's debts.

If it does through it would be the largest city bankruptcy ever in United States history.
