DeKalb photographer raising funds to repair historic bridge

SPENCERVILLE, Ind. -- An Indiana community is stepping up to help rebuild a historic bridge.

Two weeks ago, a semi nearly destroyed the bridge when it drove over it. And he damage is believed to be about $89,000.

So, a DeKalb county native decided to take pictures of bridge and sell them online. The proceeds will then be donated to help rebuild the bridge.

"I couldn't believe that someone would try to drive a truck across it," said photographer Lisa Hadley. "A friend suggested to me to take pictures and then if I sell some photos, donate those funds to helping the repair of the bridge."

The photos will be for sale on Facebook starting next week.

The driver who caused the damage is charged with property damage. He is expected in court next month.
