A dense fog advisory is in place across all of Michiana through 10 a.m. Give yourself a few extra minutes of drive time, and remember to watch for kids waiting for the bus stop.
Later this morning, rain moves into the area.
Temperatures are in the mid 40s this morning, but will drop into the upper 30s by afternoon.
Wind picks up, with some wind gusts up to 30 mph by this evening.
Overnight, the rain will turn to a rain/snow mix. The system moves out early Friday, however, there is a chance for lake effect snow for areas just south of Lake Michigan. The highest impact will be in LaPorte County, however, low snow totals are still likely.
It's still breezy tomorrow and cooler with highs in the mid 30s.
The weekend will be dry, with some sunshine Saturday and a bit warmer on Sunday.
Rain is likely once again next week for MLK Day Monday.
