Fentanyl investigation leads to arrest after search of Mishawaka apartment
Mishawaka Police Department MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- At least one suspect was arrested Thursday after police executed a search warrant at a Mishawaka apartment following a drug-dealing investigation.
The Mishawaka Police Department reports members of the Street Crimes Unit, the DEA HIDTA Task Force, FBI, and the St. Joseph County Police department executed the search warrant at an apartment off Village Drive.
Police say the investigation was specifically focused on the distribution of fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation, one person was taken into custody and officers recovered suspected fentanyl, multiple firearms, ammunition, a significant amount of U.S. currency, drug-processing/packaging materials, and other evidence associated with drug distribution.
No other details have been released at this time.
