Deputies investigating mailbox explosion

LA GRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- A resident called deputies after discovering their mailbox destroyed Tuesday morning, according to the La Grange County Sheriff's Department.
The victim told deputies around 3:45 a.m. they heard an explosion outside their home in the 7500 block of N 725 E in Howe.
They didn't know what the noise was until they went outside just before 9 a.m. and found their mailbox destroyed.
The incident remains under investigation.
