Deputies seeking public's help in hit-and-run case

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – La Porte County Deputies are asking for the public’s help with the identification of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run case.

According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department, a 20-year-old jogger was stuck by a vehicle near the intersection of County Road 525 West and County Road 300 North.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Deputies say the vehicle failed to stop at the scene and continued south towards Johnson Road.

The victim was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say the suspect vehicle is a 1997 to 2003 gray, silver, or red Ford F-150 or Ford Explorer. The truck would have damage to the driver’s side headlight and grill.
