CARROLL COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday night that detectives had uncovered a fake online profile with the username “anthony_shots” while investigating the 2017 murders of Abby Williams and Libby German.

According to state police, the profile was used from 2016 to 2017 on social media platforms including but not limited to Snapchat and Instagram.

The profile used images of a known male model. The account portrayed itself to be extremely wealthy and owning numerous sports cars.

In the photo gallery above, you can see the images of the known male model that were used on the “anthony_shots” account.

Police said the creator used the fake profile while communicating with young girls to solicit nude images, obtain their addresses and attempt to meet them.

The male in the photos used on the account has been identified and is not a person of interest in the investigation, according to police.

Police are now seeking information on the creator of the “anthony_shots” account.

Investigators would like any individual that communicated with, met, or attempted to meet the “anthony_shots” profile to contact law enforcement by utilizing the tip email/phone number: [email protected] or 765-822-3535.

Police are asking for detailed messages from anyone who communicated with the account, including any saved images or conversations with the “anthony_shots” account.

According to court documents filed in Miami County in 2020 and obtained by WRTV, a man who was arrested in a separate case for charges including possession of child pornography and child solicitation admitted to creating and using a profile named “anthony_shots” to speak with underage girls.

Police have not named the man arrested in Miami County as a suspect in the Delphi murder investigation.  ABC57 is not naming the man arrested in Miami County because he has not been named a suspect.

Police have also not said if the account was used to contact Abby or Libby.

In February of 2017, 13-year-old Abby and 14-year-old Libby went for a hike at the Delphi Historic Trails but never returned home. Their bodies were found the next day near a railroad bridge by Deer Creek in Delphi.

In 2019, police released new audio, video and a suspect sketch in the Delphi murders.

Their murders remain under investigation.
