Digging for Jimmy Hoffa

DETROIT -- There is new information on where the body of Jimmy Hoffa could be buried.

The Teamster union boss disappeared 30 years ago from a Detroit area restaurant parking lot. For years, the whereabouts of his body has remained a mystery.

But going off of a tip from a dying man, police are set to dig up a driveway Friday in search of Hoffa's body.

"I hope they find him. Jimmy Hoffa has a daughter remaining, and if that were my father and I didn't know where his remains were, I would want to put him to rest," said neighbor Patricia Thibault.

It has always been assumed that Hoffa, the once powerful president of the Teamsters who also did jail time for bribery, was killed by the mob after that Detroit restaurant in July 1976.
