Wanatah residents react to Thursday night’s storms
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A shooting occurred near the Charles Black Recreation Center early Sunday morning.
According to St. Joseph County Dispatch, the call came in at approximately 4:55 a.m., regarding shots fired near the intersection of Lake Street and Washington Street.
A juvenile woman was injured in the shooting. Medics treated her at the scene.
According to police, a large group of people were gathered when someone began shooting.
Investigators uncovered approximately 40 shell casings at the scene.
No suspect information at this time.
