Distracted driver hits pedestrian in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A distracted driver smashed into a pedestrian in Elkhart County.
It happened just before 6 p.m. Thursday on Old U.S. Highway 20.
Deputies say while the 22-year-old driver pulled out of a nearby gas station, her passenger distracted her and that's when she slammed into 55-year-old Melissa Clark.
Clark only suffered minor injuries.
