NOW: Doctors released from a Plymouth medical complex leaves patients with an unclear future on their health

PLYMOUTH, Ind -- Lifeplex Medical Complex has some patients confused after appointments have been cancelled because doctors and nurses were suddenly laid off.

One patient says he has been going there for over 30 years and now he is without a doctor.

"I don’t know what’s going to happen here. I’m going to have to find another doctor if I can’t find out where he’s going," said patient Wayne Flaharty.

Wayne and Connie Flaharty said they’ve been coming to Lifeplex for decades and were recently given some unfortunate news, after not having a response from the doctor’s office for days.

"They finally call me today and I make an arrangement to come in and get the thing but all the doctors are gone. There ain’t no doctor’s here no more and nobody can give me an answer what," said Wayne.

Flaharty says he’s been battling cancer and he’s been seeing a doctor here at Lifeplex for it that he’s had a relationship with for more than 30 years. That is until recently.

"The problem I've got is I've got cancer and my 5 years is up and I need the doctor to give me my last thing here," said Wayne.

The Flahartys just stopping by today to get blood paperwork, with no solution in sight on where they will go for future visits.

"He has nowhere to go and we know some other friends of ours from Valpo. They come here for Jason," said Lifeplex patient Connie Flaharty.

We have reached out to Saint Joseph Health System, which owns the medical complex within Lifeplex, but we have not received a response.
