MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Michigan City Police Department purchased a Honda Police ATV Beach Patrol Unit thanks to a donation from the Sheridan Beach Homeowner's Association.

The ATV will help the department patrol the lakefront.

Officer Marty Corley is the off-duty Security Director for the association which employs off-duty police officers for the summer months.

The department placed the homeowner's association's logo on the fender of the ATV in appreciation of their $6,000 donation.
