Donations pouring in to Berrien County shelter

Last week, ABC57 reported the Emergency Shelter Services, Inc. in Benton Harbor was over capacity and in need of food this winter.

Since the ABC57 story, Emergency Shelter Services has seen an outpouring of support.

They posted a picture of the donations they received after our story aired.

On Monday, several members of the Berrien County Tea Party took a truckload of canned food to the shelter.

The shelter, at 645 Pipestone Road, has a staff member on site around the clock to accept donations. It is also funded through the 6 Degree Resale store on Main Street in Benton Harbor.
