Don't drink & drive: Buchanan High School students learn a S.A.D.D. lesson

BUCHANAN, Mich. -- It could have been a person, but thankfully, it was just a cone!

On Tuesday, S.A.D.D. teamed up with the Berrien Springs Police to teach students an important lesson.

They brought their electric car and drunk goggles to Buchanan High School.

Then they let students get behind the wheel.

The results were a sober reminder of why it is so important not to drink and drive.

"I really didn't know what was going on. I was very disoriented. The cones seemed to be in different places every time. And I was having plenty of issues driving," said Sarah long, President of S.A.D.D.

S.A.D.D. also had a wrecked Jeep on display in the school parking lot.

Students were invited to sign the car and make a pledge to not drive and drive.
