Double homicide investigation in Michigan City

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Michigan City Police Department reports officers responded to a report of someone being shot in the 2300 block of Normandy Drive on Thursday, August 15, around 5:36 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers say they found a 22-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man dead inside a vehicle in a parking lot.

Authorities say both appeared to have gunshot wounds.

The report states the Investigative Division was summoned to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say no further information is available currently.
