'Dougherty Gang' story is closer than you think

ABC 57 has been telling you about the three siblings who are wanted by the FBI after going on a crime spree and it turns out they have a Michigan connection.

In fact, it’s a tie to our ABC sister station in Grand Rapids.

Dylan Dougherty-Stanley, Lee Grace Dougherty and Ryan Dougherty are accused of shooting a police officer during a pursuit in Florida, and then robbing a bank in Georgia.

They are related to an employee at the TV station WZZM, by marriage.

In the past, two of the suspects visited Grand Rapids but there is no reason to believe the trio is currently in Michigan.

The station went over security and safety plans just in case.
