Downtown Elkhart's final ArtWalk event on Wednesday

The final opportunity to get a look at local artwork during the Downtown Elkhart ArtWalk will be Wednesday.

The event for local artists to showcase their talents will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

According to The Elkhart Truth, there will be a variety of food and drink options for event-goers, including holiday wine samples poured at Hopman Jeweler’s to the sound of live music by saxophonist Don Savoie.

Other artists will be showcasing unique glass work, wooden bowls and jewelry boxes, handmade winter accessories, and art by students from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Sources say there will be a "Poetry Slam" at the Elkhart Public Library Main Branch starting at 6 p.m. and two “fashion wagons” located on Main Street will offer women’s apparel.

More live music will include: guitarist Steve Foresman, a drum circle with Jim Cataloano, piano and vocal duet with Kelly & Rania, Erin Leitner, Buddy Pierce, Scott Joyner, and Mike Keagle.
