Driver arrested after crashing SUV near airport

St. Joseph County Police have arrested a 24-year-old driver who allegedly crashed a Jeep into a lamp post early this morning.
The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on U.S. 20 near the airport. Police list the driver as Anthony Ricci, and reported they made a long form arrest for Ricci on charges he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
An ambulance took Ricci to the hospital shortly after the crash.
A tow truck removed the Jeep from the grassy area near the pole and the streets are open to drivers.
