Driver crashes into the Logan Center

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- There were some scary moments for drivers on West Jefferson, Friday afternoon.

A woman drove her car into a wall at the Logan Center.  The accident happened around 4:30 p.m.

Police say she blacked out while driving east on West Jefferson near the intersection of Ironwood.

Her car hopped a bush, hit a parked car, and then crashed head-on into a wall.

The driver was taken away on a stretcher and rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.  There is no word on what caused the driver to black out.

The car looks to be a total loss, and there is a big hole in the building now.  There is also no word on the total cost of the damage.
