Driver facing additional charge after woman dies 5 days after crash

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A driver is facing additional charges in connection with a crash that happened on March 2 that killed a 61-year-old woman.

Jeffery Branstetter, 46, is now facing a charge of causing death when operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more. He is also facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person and causing serious bodily injury when operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The other driver, Kathleen Trumbull, died 5 days after the March 2nd crash.

The crash happened around 9:15 p.m. at Arthur and Francis streets in South Bend.
