Driver killed in crash early Sunday morning identified

A 21-year-old man was killed when his pickup truck struck a utility pole, then a tree.
The accident happened around 12:27 a.m. Sunday, August 7.
Brandon Weaver, 21, was driving south on CR1150 W at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his pickup truck, according to the La Grange County Sheriff’s Department.
Weaver’s truck went off the side of the road, struck a NIPSCO pole, overturned, then struck a tree.
Weaver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Deputies said Weaver was not wearing a seat belt.
