Driver rescued from partially submerged vehicle

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A driver was rescued from his vehicle which was submerged in three feet of water in a private pond in the 3800 block of E. Wooster Road Wednesday morning, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office.

The driver called 9-1-1 at 11:17 a.m. to report his truck had gone into the water on Wooster Road.

A sheriff's deputy and Winona Lake Police Department officers were on scene within five minutes.

The driver was still inside the pickup truck, which was in approximately 3-feet of water.

Firefighters with the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory put on wet suits and helped rescue the driver from the vehicle.

The driver was not injured.

The sheriff's office's dive team assisted the wrecker crew with recovery of the pickup truck.
