ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The driver whose vehicle crashed into trees at an Osceola Cemetery and caused the death of his girlfriend, was sentenced for the fatal crash Friday morning.
Christopher David King was sentenced to 7 years in prison and 3 years probation.
In January, he pleaded guilty to causing death when operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more.
On March 20, 2017, King was driving a Black Ford Explorer near Riverview Boulevard and Cedar Road around 2:23 a.m. when he lost control of the SUV. The SUV went off the road, struck several trees and landed on its side in-between several trees in the cemetery.
Heather Zurbuch, 39, was killed in the crash.
King was charged in the crash in August 2017.
