Drivers encouraged to avoid Bypass

The Bypass was shut down Thursday morning between US 20 and SR 23 in South Bend due to numerous accidents. Snowfall created hazardous conditions in the area.
The Bypass has reopened, but the South Bend Police Department is encouraging drivers to slow down and find an alternate route.
