Drivers search for cheap gas

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The gas price roller coaster continues! On Friday, ABC 57 News found prices as high as $4.18 for premium and $3.99 for regular in Michiana.

Drivers were racing to fill up before prices get even higher.

"I think It is ridiculous and I think we are being taken. I think the oil companies are manipulating us and there's nothing we can do about it " said Jay Verga.

"It's crazy! My daughter lives far away and she was going to come over this weekend, but now she say's it's already $3.99" said Dorris McGee

But some drivers did save themselves some money at the pump. Once word got around that Admiral Gas Station on 933 was only charging $3.74 for gas, cars packed the pumps.

"I'm going to try to gas up now while gas is cheaper an hopefully next week it will come down" said Richard Arndt.

Drivers said gas at Admiral is one of the cheapest in the area, but even at $3.75 a gallon, they still feel like they're paying too much.

"It is up and down so much lately I don't know which way it is going to go" said Ardnt.
