Drunk driver arrested after crashing pickup into tree

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A drunk driver is behind bars after crashing into a tree.

The driver was put into the back of a St. Joe County cruiser Tuesday night. Investigators say he hit a tree at Ironwood and State Line Road.

After the accident, he got out of his pickup and started walking north toward Michigan. He only made it about a half-mile when police arrested him.
