SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Downtown South Bend is hosting its annual celebration of spring and Easter on Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m.
“Egg Stravaganza is our annual celebration of spring and Easter in Downtown South Bend,” Downtown South Bend Senior Director of Marketing and Events, Kylie Carter said. “It might snow on our celebration of spring, but we’re still thinking spring.”
The free event will have a variety of festive activities like photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, a golden egg hunt at the South Bend Chocolate Cafe, coconut bowling, potatoes sack races, ring tosses, a petting zoo, and a horse wagon ride.
It's all taking place on the Gridiron and throughout Downtown South Bend. You can expect some of your favorite downtown businesses to join in on the fun.
Carter says for every game and activity you participate in, you get an Easter egg.
“Instead of having a big egg hunt, which can kind of get vicious, this is a fun way for kids to collect as many eggs with candy or toys inside them as they want,” Carter said.
The annual celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information go to DTSB | Egg Stravaganza (downtownsouthbend.com)
