East coast storm turns roads into rivers

LEBANON, N.H. -- It is shaping up to be a wet 4th of July along the East Coast as storms and flash flooding put a damper on the celebration.

Flooding in New Hampshire turned roads into rivers, forcing neighborhoods to be evacuated.

One storm even dumped two-inches of rain in just one hour.

"Getting this done will mean FEMA has to declare, the federal government has to declare this a disaster area," said New York Senator Charles Schumer. "I've never seen the roads wash out like this."

While the storms could let up after the holiday, flooding could continue across the mid-Atlantic and the northeast into the weekend.
