East Race officially open to public

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Buckle up for a wild ride!
Some took a dip in the east race today to cool off.
June 10 marked the offical opening of the water way.
"Oh, I love doing this. The water's great, temperature's nice. It's great," said Brian Warne.
"I just have always been into water sports. And seeing this happening out over here, I've been doing it ever since." Warne continued.
The East Race is open Saturdays and Sundays until August 12.
