Economic round-table aimed at bringing investors into Northern Indiana

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Governor Mitch Daniels attended an economic round-table hosted by Mayor Pete Buttigieg and potential investors.

The group gathered at Cafe Navarre in South Bend.

They talked about ways to improve business conditions in Northern Indiana.

The governor says it has been frustrating trying to replicate the economic success the state has seen in South Bend.

"I'm not making it up," Daniels said. "There are some very important potential investments looking hard at this area, but as always, talking about them would reduce the chances of landing them, and we can't do that."

Both the governor and Mayor Buttigieg emphasized on providing incentives for businesses that focus on advanced manufacturing.
