Eddy Street Market opens its doors

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- More economic development is popping up in South Bend.

Eddy Street Market opened its doors for the first time today. This new mini mart carries eggs, milk, and many other convenient items.

Folks who live nearby say, this is just what the neighborhood needs!

Uriah Taylor, a neighbor, said, "The only one that was really around here is Martin's, and that's all the way on 23. You know, they did have a Family Dollar, but they closed that down. I'm glad they put this store right here so it could help the community out, so we wouldn't have to go too far."

Uriah also said it's only a two-minute walk from where he lives, and it may become 'his store', where he goes every day.
