Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy coming to South Bend next month

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Fans of gothic literature and fine cocktails are in for a treat next month when a pop-up Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy opens its doors to the public at Hedwig Memorial Center in South Bend.

"Step back in time and immerse yourself in the dark and mysterious world of Edgar Allan Poe. This exclusive speakeasy will transport you to a bygone era as you sip on expertly crafted cocktails inspired by four of Poe's most beloved stories," organizers say. "Led by the speakeasy’s lead mixologist and Poe historians, this immersive evening promises to be a chillingly unforgettable experience. Don't miss your chance to bring Poe's tales to life, one sip at a time ..."

Tickets are currently available for the three shows that will take place April 18-20. 

Guest must be 21 years old or older to attend the show that will last around an hour and a half. 

The Hedwig Memorial Center is located at 331 S. Scott St. in South Bend.
