LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- Court documents from La Porte County Superior Court No. 1 revealed 84-year-old John Hupertz was found guilty in a jury trial for three counts of Child Molesting and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography on May 14.

Hupertz was sentenced to a consecutive 96 years in prison.

The charges arose in 2021 when a victim came forward stating Hupertz had touched them several times between the years 2005 and 2009 or 2010.

Court documents reveal there were at least three victims.

One victim stated Hupertz told them not to tell anyone about what he did.
