Elkhart city leaders hope new brewery will bring buzz to downtown

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart is getting a new brewery!
Town leaders hope it is just the thing to bring new life to downtown.
Iechyd Da Brewing Co. is under construction.
The new bar and restaurant is on the north end of Main Street.
When it is finished, Iechyd Da plans to offer seven to 10 "house-brewed" beers, as well as some homemade bar food.
The Chamber of Commerce said it is all part of a bigger plan to revitalize the downtown area.
The brewery is set to open at the beginning of May.
