ELKHART, Ind. -- UPDATE: The Elkhart Police Department has identified the deceased motorcyclist as 23-year-old Peyton Storm, of Elkhart.
Storm's family has been notified.
The 39-year-old driver of the involved Ford F-150 remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Elkhart Fatal Crash Team is currently handling the investigation.
EPD stated in the report:
"We would like to thank bystanders who swiftly and compassionately rendered aid and CPR to Mr. Storm at the scene before officers and medics arrived at the crash."
ORIGINAL STORY: The Elkhart Police Department is investigating a deadly crash between a motorcycle and a truck on the 1600 block of Cassopolis Street Sunday.
The crash is said to have occurred at around 7:13 p.m. when the motorcycle was traveling northbound, and it struck a Ford F-150 turning left in front of the driver.
The motorcyclist was said to be in his early 20's, and was transported to the hospital after the crash, where he later died from his injuries.
No names have been released at this time.
