Elkhart County crash sends 2 to the hospital

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people were transported to Elkhart General Hospital following a crash early Saturday morning.

Elkhart County police officers responded to a call at approximately 1:17 a.m. detailing a crash on Old US 33 west of SR 19.

According to authorities, Keven Wade was driving east in his 2006 Chevy Impala on Old US 33 west of SR 19.

Sources say that’s when his vehicle left the road as the road curved left crashing into a ditch and barreling out of it before rolling. The vehicle landing on the passenger’s side.

Allegedly, the passenger, Jeffery Wade suffered injuries resulting in a possible lacerations and a broken hip while the driver suffered facial and neck injuries.

Both driver and passenger were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.

Kevin Wade was cited for no proof of financial responsibility, never receiving a license and driving at an unsafe speed.
