Elkhart County Health Department wants volunteers for vaccine clinic

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Health Department Health Education Division is seeking out volunteers for upcoming COVID-19 vaccines.
Healthcare professionals and non-health care professionals are being encouraged to help.
The Health Department is asking for volunteers to be:
- Willing to submit for a background check
- Non-healthcare volunteers to assist in roles that are patient-facing and to support the flow of individuals through the clinic
- Healthcare professionals to administer the COVID-19 vaccine and credentials must be provided when filling out the volunteer form
Health care workers and professionals are listed below:
- Physicians
- Registered nurses, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse
- Nursing students
- Physician’s Assistants
- Medical Assistants
- Medial and Physician Assistant Students/Residents (with supervision)
- Pharmacists and Pharmacy Interns/Students
- Pharmacy Technicians
- Paramedics
- Advanced EMTs
- Basic EMTs
