ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Health Department Health Education Division is seeking out volunteers for upcoming COVID-19 vaccines.

Healthcare professionals and non-health care professionals are being encouraged to help.

The Health Department is asking for volunteers to be:

• Willing to submit for a background check
• Non-healthcare volunteers to assist in roles that are patient-facing and to support the flow of individuals through the clinic
• Healthcare professionals to administer the COVID-19 vaccine and credentials must be provided when filling out the volunteer form

Health care workers and professionals are listed below:

• Physicians
• Registered nurses, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse
• Nursing students
• Physician’s Assistants
• Medical Assistants
• Medial and Physician Assistant Students/Residents (with supervision)
• Pharmacists and Pharmacy Interns/Students
• Pharmacy Technicians
• Paramedics
• Advanced EMTs
• Basic EMTs
